About Title Insurance

Phil Janny serves as the Firms Real Estate Coordinator/Licensed Title Insurance Agent where he underwrites for First American Title Insurance Company. Phil has 20 plus years experience in the Real Estate and title insurance industry. Phil is currently the President of the Pennsylvania Land Title Association (www.plta.org) having gone through the chairs over the last few years. Phil is a past President of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Land Title Association and he currently serves on many committees of the Pennsylvania Land Title Association. Phil is also a member of the American Land Title Association (www.alta.org) and the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries.

Phil has been called upon from various lenders to speak at seminars for first time homebuyers, and has been a presenter for seminars on Title Insurance. Phil has met with County Executives, State Legislators and Federal Officials to discuss various issues relating to Title Insurance in Pennsylvania. Phil as testified before the Department of Insurance in Pennsylvania on Title Insurance related matters. The Pennsylvania Land Title Association has recognized his combination of education, experience and performance, and bestowed upon him both the Associate Land Title Professional (ALTP) designation and the highest professional designation given, Certified Land Title Professional (CLTP) as recognition as a title professional who has demonstrated excellence in his profession and has made a significant contribution to the land title industry. Receiving the Certified Land Title Professional designation from the Association is a great honor with only several dozen agents out of over four thousand licensed title agents in Pennsylvania holding this professional designation.

Phil has an extensive background in both residential and commercial closings and is available to assist in matters relating to real estate conveyances and Title Insurance.
